Arizona Bound

I met Jen before our house was even finished being built two doors down from hers just over five years ago. We became friends right away and Mackenzie and Mason considered her their second mom. They are now embarking on a new adventure and are leaving for Anthem, Arizona. We wish them luck and happiness in their new town. I'll miss you Jen!

Hot Temps

This is the warmest summer we've had since we moved here in 2001. It is supposed to get to 100 on Saturday, or at least close to that. Whew! Here's Laney coolin' by the pool.

OUCH!

We were celebrating Mason's newfound biking skills (finally, no training wheels!) yesterday- but Mackenzie had a little different story on her bike.

Her knee and ankles got scraped as well. Luke showed her a picture of a guy in Bike magazine that had the same kind of road rash to make her feel cool. Poor Kenz!

Party Time

I didn't take many pictures of Mason's party today- but it was cool! Here are some of the boys running into the backyard to find the hidden "Fred".

Singing to Mason before ice cream sundaes... The boys annihilated the pinata and had an overall sugar-filled time. I feel like I've fulfilled my duty as a parent!

We had a great visit to Grandma and Grandpa's house on the river.

Berries!

Summer means berry season in the Northwest. Laney and Kenz went to town with Uncle Joel and Auntie Tess' raspberries.

We get lots of berry covered faces as a result. Here I told Laney to put up two fingers to make a peace sign. Ok, it was close!

Trip to Portland

We were glad to have a chance to visit Joel, Tess, Nicholas, and Eli! Here's Laney at Jameson Park in Portland's Pearl District.
