Mom Thoughts
I had a serious agenda for this morning- get Mason's staples out at the doctor's, get the final ingredients for zucchini choc cake at the store, mail two packages at the post office, and get my new contacts fitted at the eye doctor. All of this was interspersed with the kids singing songs in the car, stopping to play at the playground, and making picnic lunches to enjoy in the sun. They were such good listeners and were so patient it was unbelievable. What a pleasant morning with the Team Talbott!

The Soccer Era Begins
Tonight was Kenzie's first soccer practice. The kids were adorable running around together. She had so much fun- and her coaches were awesome. I can't believe I'm a real soccer mom now!

Olives
Delaney was pretty proud of herself for figuring this out. We didn't model this for her. She just stuck her fingers in.

OUCH!
Mason got stung by a wasp this afternoon right below his right eye. I tried to take a picture of the swelling; but it doesn't look bad. Nice dirty face; however.
Talbott Cuties! We love' em!

Attitude!
Delaney has the funniest sullen attitude sometimes! Luke and I were just standing in the kitchen cracking up and trying to make her smile when we took these pix. She sure is stubborn when she wants to be!
Camano Island
We spent an eventful day at a friends' beach house on Camano Island yesterday. We found lots of mini sand-crabs like the one Mason is holding.
Kenz had quite a rock collection going.
Devilish Mason- don't splash me!
Cool hanging chair on the back deck.

Quick Trip to Oregon
It wasn't our greatest showing in Oregon this trip; Kenzie got a fever and Luke and I got the flu- causing us to miss the Sandgathe family reunion (which was the objective!). We still had fun playing in the river, doing some rafting, chasing the chickens, and watching a cool outdoor theatre version of "The Jungle Book".
Mackenzie on the McKenzie river.T-dog and Laney chillin' with Grandpa ("Gra-pa")
Miss Sassafras
We got to try out our new two-room tent (hey-we're a family of five!). The kids loved the backyard camping idea.
