Mr. Talbott's 5th grade class is getting a tortoise. It is vacationing at our house. Needless to say, Mason is beside himself with joy. He will not leave the poor little guy alone, but he seems quite tolerant and loves running underneath the couch. Believe it or not, the tortoise is kinda cute!

Sunday morning.
This morning Kenz asked if I would take a few pix of them. The fact that all three sat still even for an instant is a miracle. She was really posing- doesn't she look 13?
Surprise!
Nanny flew out from Virginia to surprise Luke for his 35th birthday. We had such a fun week hanging with the kids, Christmas shopping, and just spending time with Nanny!
Fame!?
Here's Mason wearing Kenzie's leotard (note the boxer briefs hanging below). Very funny- you had to see how excited he was!
Birthday Party at Build A Bear
Mackenzie has been wanting to go to Build-A-Bear for her birthday for almost 6 months. So, she brought 6 girlfriends to celebrate with her. What a party!!! Here are Emma C, Macy, Kylie, MJ, Emma N., Haley, and Holly showing off their new friends.
Happy Bear-Day!
Giving the bears brains by rubbing their hearts on their foreheads.

African Party
Mason had an African party at school today. This is his zebra tunic, drum, and bead necklace. They sang a song in Swahili, did a dance, and we all ate authentic African food. It was the cutest thing you have ever seen! I forgot my camera so he told me he would take a picture at home.

Happy Birthday Mackenzie Jane!
Lots of help from Mason this morning with the presents.
It was a family affair, new desk, lamp, and tons of art supplies!
The ceremonial candle in a muffin. Cupcakes for Saturday's birthday party.
