Birthday Party at Build A Bear

Mackenzie has been wanting to go to Build-A-Bear for her birthday for almost 6 months. So, she brought 6 girlfriends to celebrate with her. What a party!!! Here are Emma C, Macy, Kylie, MJ, Emma N., Haley, and Holly showing off their new friends.

African Party

Mason had an African party at school today. This is his zebra tunic, drum, and bead necklace. They sang a song in Swahili, did a dance, and we all ate authentic African food. It was the cutest thing you have ever seen! I forgot my camera so he told me he would take a picture at home.

Happy Birthday Mackenzie Jane!

I never really thought of our baby girl as a princess until today. She got calls from five different grandparents, aunt and uncle, and more birthday cards and gifts than a six year old could possibly handle. She was so excited about doing art she practically spent the whole day (besides school) up in her room playing at her new desk. Everyone in the family is getting love notes, thank you notes and pictures made by Mackenzie. We are so proud of our special little girl! I know, I know, six years went by in an INSTANT.

Lots of help from Mason this morning with the presents.
It was a family affair, new desk, lamp, and tons of art supplies!

After the Run...

Do I look worn out? We wandered over to the Seattle Center House and watched some live performances and the kids got to drive a cool model train.

This picture doesn't do it justice; but the whole village was quite elaborate and festive. It was about the size of our driveway.

First Half Marathon

Today was my first ever half-marathon run. I ran it in 2:14:48, or a 9:52 mile, which was way faster than the 10:30 split I was hoping for. The weather was perfect and Luke and the kids were all there to cheer me on. I will try to post more pix later. Thanks again to everyone for their well-wishes and support!

Happy Holidays

We spent Saturday afternoon decorating the tree and hanging stockings, etc. The kids did a beautiful job on the tree this year.
